Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

Last updated: 28/12/2025

This policy explains how copyright and intellectual property apply to materials, teaching content, and artwork created at AJN Fine Art.

We believe it is important to respect creativity, ownership, and the rights of both AJN Fine Art and our students.

AJN Fine Art Materials & Content

All teaching materials, lesson plans, course structures, worksheets, resources, branding, logos, and content created by AJN Fine Art remain the intellectual property of AJN Fine Art, unless stated otherwise.

This includes:

  • Course and workshop content

  • Teaching methods and lesson formats

  • Written materials and resources

  • Website content, branding, and marketing materials

These materials must not be:

  • copied

  • reproduced

  • shared

  • sold

  • used for commercial purposes

without prior written permission from AJN Fine Art.

Student Artwork

Artwork created by students during classes, workshops, or courses remains the property of the student (or their parent/carer, where applicable).

AJN Fine Art does not claim ownership over student artwork.

Use of Student Artwork

AJN Fine Art may photograph and document student artwork created during classes and workshops as part of normal teaching, display, and promotional activity.

This may include:

  • photographing finished or in-progress artwork

  • displaying artwork in learning spaces or exhibitions

  • sharing images of artwork on the AJN Fine Art website, social media, or marketing materials

Where artwork is shared:

  • children are not identified by full name

  • images are used respectfully and appropriately

  • artwork is never altered in a way that misrepresents the student’s work

Photographing artwork does not require additional parental consent, as it does not identify the child.

Images Including Children

Where photographs or videos include a recognisable image of a child, parental consent will always be sought and managed in line with our Photography & Media Use Policy.

Use of AJN Fine Art Content by Parents & Students

Parents and students are welcome to:

  • share their own artwork

  • talk about their experiences at AJN Fine Art

However, AJN Fine Art teaching content, lesson structures, and resources must not be:

  • recorded

  • redistributed

  • replicated for teaching or commercial use

without written permission.

Recording & Reproduction

Photography or recording of teaching sessions is not permitted without prior consent from AJN Fine Art.

This helps protect:

  • intellectual property

  • student privacy

  • the learning environment

Respecting Others’ Work

Students are encouraged to:

  • respect the creative work of others

  • avoid copying or misusing the work of fellow students or artists

  • engage with art in a positive and ethical way

This supports a fair and respectful creative community.

Breach of This Policy

Any misuse of AJN Fine Art intellectual property may result in:

  • removal of access to classes or materials

  • refusal of future bookings

  • further action where appropriate

This does not affect statutory rights.
